All Pro Dads
Our next All Pro Dads breakfast is set for Wed., May 22, 8:00 AM in the faculty dining room. Spend a quality hour with your child over breakfast at Adams. Kids eat free & dads pay a small fee for breakfast. If you haven't made it to a breakfast yet, it's not too late. And although it's called All Pro "Dads", everyone is welcome - moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, aunts, uncles, etc. The important part here is the that our kids know they have our undivided attention for one positively-focused hour. We hope to see you there!
Parent Partner Workshop
Also this Wednesday, May 22nd, Tom Mueller of the Crisis Center will present our last Parent Partner Workshop of the year, "Lifesaver Skills" at 6:00 PM in the media center. Snacks & door prizes will be provided. All Adams students, parents, faculty, & staff are invited to attend.
Reflections
Reflections is the long-standing, national PTA arts contest held every Fall. The Adams PTSA is seeking an adult volunteer to chair this program at our school next year. If you appreciate the arts and think you might enjoy working with students and teachers to promote and assist with the program here at Adams, we have a rewarding position for you. This is an important program that allows our students to have fun and to express themselves through visual arts, photography, dance, music, literature and more. For the last 2 years, Adams has had students place at both the county and state levels of competition. Our students love this program and PTSA would like to again provide it, but we can't do it without a chairperson. Think you might be interested? Please contact Kim Delk kimdelk@verizon.net.
8th Grade Picnic
PTSA is thrilled to once again host the Adams 8th grade picnic - Friday, May 24th, 2:15-4:15. The party is ready to go - DJ, inflatables, games, snacks, and more! We are so proud of our special 8th grade Warriors. Thank you to everyone who is dropping off bottled water and volunteering for this celebration. We could use about 10 more volunteers from 1:00 - 4:30. If you can help, please let me know. All volunteers are asked to sign in at the front office with your driver's license and then to head back to the picnic near the cafeteria. Most positions are outside, so be sure to wear comfy & cool shoes and attire. Looking forward to a fun day!
